Building movement is about more than shifts in concrete and steel. It shapes the comfort of every occupant and directly impacts a contractor’s ability to deliver a truly high-quality project. When movement isn’t properly understood or managed, it can affect performance, longevity, and the overall experience of a space.
That’s why our journey has been defined by a relentless commitment to innovation. For years, we’ve researched, tested, and refined solutions that respond to the real-world challenges builders and contractors face every day. From early-stage design considerations to seamless installation on site, we focus on delivering systems that anticipate movement, protect structural integrity, and elevate project outcomes.
Our progress tells a story of evolution, and how our dedication to smarter building movement solutions continues to shape stronger, more resilient spaces.
Research-Driven Innovation from lab testing at Swinburne University
In 2017 we replicated on-site conditions in a lab at Swinburne University to identify sources of noise. By testing in-plane, out-of-plane, and torsional movements on precisely built panels, we produced consistent, reliable data applicable to any building with known movement limits. We then applied these findings to real projects, rebuilding affected apartments and eliminating noise complaints entirely.
Introducing our patented & innovative QUIET TRACK®
We then launched Rondo QUIET TRACK®, a patented innovation that removes metal-on-metal contact without the need for extra clips or added steps. Pre-lined for faster installs, it’s a practical solution that keeps installation familiar and straightforward, with successful installation in iconic high-rise projects to address building movement, including Crown Towers Sydney, Queens Wharf Brisbane and One Sydney Harbour.

Commissioned an in-house Test Rig for full Plasterboard & Steel Systems Testing
The first of two in-house test rigs we invested in are dedicated to full steel and plasterboard system testing (composite action). It enables continuous, around-the-clock assessment of structural adequacy and performance, providing insights to guide material selection, support engineered design decisions, and ensure code compliance.

Commissioned Building Movement Test Rig for QUANTRO Pro Solution Testing
We then commissioned a Building Movement Test Rig to readily replicate real site conditions, such as column to stud walls and corner junctions, troubleshoot any wall details builders are concerned about, and deliver solutions that are proven to work.

Testing our Wall Framing Systems to the Limit in High Seismic Zones
To push performance further, our R&D team also tested our stud and track framing systems in Taiwan under high seismic conditions. The valuable insights gained have driven the development of our innovative QUANTRO® Pro Isolation solution.

The Introduction of our QUANTRO® Pro Isolation Solution Products
The first result of our R&D investment is our patent-pending QUANTRO® Pro Isolation Direct Fixing Clip, a world-first product designed to allow independent movement of structural elements such as concrete columns which move due to
external loads on the building and avoid driving movement along the abutting steel stud partition walls whilst also removing metal on metal contact via a specialised coating.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF OUR QUANTRO® PRO ISOLATION SOLUTION
In May 2025, we commissioned a building movement test rig at our Sydney Head Office, enabling continuous, around-the-clock R&D testing.
The rig was specifically designed to tackle complex scenarios that builders have identified as challenging. One of the first details addressed was the connection of furring channels to the same plasterboard surface as adjacent stud walls around concrete columns.
By replicating real-world building conditions in our laboratory, we developed the world’s first, patent-pending QUANTRO® Pro Isolation Direct Fixing Clip. This breakthrough clip allows independent movement of structural elements such as concrete columns, which move due to external loads on the building, and avoids driving movement along the abutting steel stud partition walls. The specialised coating blocks metal-on-metal contact, delivering silent movement and lasting peace of mind.
QU01 eliminates the need for control joints and caulking, providing a seamless architectural finish, and offers greater floor size when compared to an alternative steel stud wall being installed. This means installation is faster, rooms are bigger and seamless finishes without unsightly details in high traffic areas such as living room and bedroom walls.
With QU01 installed in your projects, residents sleep in quieter apartments with increased usable floor space and cleaner interior finishes without unsightly control joints.
